A Division of American Baptist Homes of the Midwest (ABHM)

Who We Are:
Baptist Home Association of the Rocky Mountains (BHA) is a multi-facility, not-for-profit corporation, offering a continuum of care for aging and disabled persons currently at two campuses in Metro Denver (Mt. Vista Retirement Community in Wheat Ridge and Franklin Park Living Campus in Denver). BHA has been offering quality care, with a Christian perspective, since 1964. American Baptist Churches of the Rocky Mountain region is a charter sponsor of BHA.

BHA became a division of American Baptist Homes of the Midwest (ABHM) in December 1996, after the delegates to the ABCRM Annual Session approved the required amendments to BHA's Articles of Incorporation.

Fulfilling Our Mission:
BHA serves all residents without regard to race, creed, religion or ability to pay. The priority for our staff is to provide a home for our residents, in which residents receive care with dignity and respect. Both BHA communities in Metro Denver have dedicated staff, who enjoy working in the family environment of our retirement communities

BHA currently employs approximately 360 people providing care for over 460 persons living in our two Metro Denver communities. Unlike many other retirement communities, we continue to provide needed spiritual care for residents, families and staff, on both campuses.

Thank You:
Baptist Home Association and American Baptist Homes of the Midwest, extends a genuine and deep thank you to all the churches, groups and individuals who have supported our ministries over the years. Your financial contributions, in-kind donations and volunteer hours make a difference in lives of many seniors! Each time you and your church give to our mission to care for senior adults and disabled persons you improve the quality of life of our residents. Financial gifts support residents who may not have extra income to spend on aspects of life that bring enjoyment and fulfillment, such as a visit to the beauty shop. Volunteer hours help our residents experience God’s love in a tangible form.

It is my regret to inform you that I have resigned from Mt. Vista and I will be serving as chaplain for a retirement community much closer to my home. I will look forward to seeing many of you in the future as I will continue to be active in the ABCRM.

Respectfully Submitted,

Rev. Kathy Bird DeYoung
(Former) Director of Spiritual Care
Mountain Vista Retirement Community
