Over the last year the Ministerial Leadership Committee (MLC) has been busy, while in transition. Immediate Past Chair of the MLC, Nancy Darnell, accepted a call to the State of Washington and Mark Jervis was appointed as Acting Chair. We continue to sponsor classes that meet the requirements for recognition of ordination at a regional level. We provide classes that are open to those who would care to work on the process or that simply have an interest in a course or two. Our goal is to maintain high quality, affordable and accessible classes. As we continue this transition there have been helpful changes made and some great ideas presented to help enhance the program. A part of our responsibility is to access the education, training, orientation etc. of pastors coming on board as pastors of ABCRM churches that come from other denominations and seek ABC recognition. It is a joy also to watch our ABC educated/trained candidates come seeking recognition of ordination, and working hand in hand with the local ordaining church in this process.
During the coming year we will continue to make changes that enable us to provide high quality educational events for our region, to encourage high standards concerning ethics and boundaries and to serve this region for God’s honor and Glory.
