ABCRM Mission Trip to Chiapas, Mexico

Hosting Missionaries:

Chuck and Ramona Shawver

  • Contact Mission Leader - John Turnage (jbkt@aol.com) for more information

Overview:

On this mission experience you will help to rebuild and expand a church building that is in serious disrepair. Builders do not need any special construction skill or training to participate. The need is for basic manual labor. If you have electrical or plumbing skills, this would be useful.

The area where the construction will occur is in the mountain area of Chiapas, Mexico and group participants will need to be ready for primitive conditions, such as sleeping in tents or on air mattresses.

The churches in this region are also in serious need of leadership training and educational resources. During the building process an educational mission will work to equip pastors and lay leaders of this area.

After the mission experience, participants will be able to tour the colonial city of San Cristobal and other sites in this region.

Estimated Cost per Person:
about $1200
