Hi there!

Welcome to the next step of the American Baptist Churches of the Rockies initiative to support, equip, and encourage small-town and rural churches and bi-vocational pastors. If you have received this invitation, you are a part of this initiative!

On June 15, we are hosting a webcast that will offer a chance to learn from and be in conversation with pastor and author Brad Roth. Brad is a seasoned pastor in rural churches, has studied rural churches and has written two books on the practice of ministry in out of the way places. His first book, “God’s Country: Faith, Hope, and the Future of the Rural Church” is readily accessible. He also has a new book called “Flyover Church” that is coming out later this year. He has most recently pastored Mennonite churches in Moundridge, Kansas and Hesston, Kansas.

Here is what I would like you to do:

  • Register yourself and some of your church folks early, It is a very minimal $10 cost.

  • Encourage other pastors and leaders in your area to register. We want this to be a ministry of the ABCRM, but we want to be accessible to share this event with other congregations and churches.

  • Consider whether you would like to be a part of the rural and small-town ministry team that we are starting. We want to establish a team of people with a heart for this kind of ministry that can work together, support each other, and build up other churches.

Thanks for your ministry and partnership in the work of the gospel,

Clint Walker and Your ABCRM Staff
