Stressed Woman

Hello Dear Sisters in Christ,

Our Colorado American Baptist Women's Ministries met Saturday, Sept. 18, for the first in-person meeting since January 2020. We enjoyed our time together at Cherry Creek Baptist Church and appreciate their hospitality. We got a lot of business accomplished.

We will be holding our 2022 Conference in person next year. We are also planning events for the coming year that are both virtual and in person. Covid-19 has taught us how to use technology for meetings and events. But on the flip side of that statement ---- the Lord showed us the importance of meeting together. We missed the fellowship, friendships, the sharing together of thoughts and ideas in person, and the hugs! And the laughter!

Our Church and Community National & Colorado focus is "Let the Walls Fall Down." Recognize a wall or walls in your area, or perhaps in your church and then expand. We have walls of racial injustice, walls of heartache created by Covid. And, as an angry person in Denver taught me in only a matter of seconds - walls of anger can be from a variety of reasons and the real reason may be unclear. Perhaps walls grow from losing friends and loved ones, loneliness, and also the heartache created by a deadly virus or stress.

Our mission focus is Covid-19. How can we give Covid care whether it be physical, spiritual, or perhaps financial? What is the need and how can we meet it?

We are looking forward to a great year of ministry! We appreciate your prayers and support!

Many blessings,

LaRose Karr

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything (James 1:2-4, NIV).
