

Rebuking the Anointed One
“Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him" (Mk. 8:32). Also, see Mk. 8:27-33. This little peek behind the curtain catches me each time that I read this passage. I know it is there, but I get hung up on it each time. What was Peter thinking? Peter has just confessed that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One.
